Carrot and Lotus root Kinpira

 

 

It is convenient if there is something that you can cook quick easily when you want one more side dish.

I think that kinpira is very easy “one more dish” because you can eat deliciously even if you cook before and  prepared frozen.  Although I think that there are various kinds even if you say Knpira, here I introduce the Kinpira  used the carrot and the lotus root which are often used for other side dishes as well.

Instructions
  1. Slice the lotus root and cut it in half. After washing, take the moisture off.
  2. Slice the carrot and cut it in half.
  3. Put the sesame oil in a frying pan and warm it. Add lotus root and carrots and heat them with high heat until they get stiff
  4. Add sake, sugar and mirin in a frying pan, and further heat until the water runs dry
  5. Add soy sauce, in the pan and heat and mix well and then stop the fire. ※ If you want frozen storage, cool them down well and store it in frozen storage containers.
  6. Place it in your dish and complete it after you add prefer white sesame seeds. * When you use frozen stored, you can simply warm it with a microwave oven.
