Fried Wing of a chicken and Lotus root
Lotus root is one of the delicious Japanese ingredient
Since lotus root will be discolored once it’s cut, you need to dip it in vinegar water not to discolor. Vinegar is about 1% of water, and if you dip it in for a long time, the important nutrition of lotus root will be lost and the flavor also will be lost, so it is enough to soak about 5 minutes. Be careful not to soak for more than 10 minutes.
“Fried Wing of a chicken and Lotus root” is well matched with white rice. And you can mix sesame oil a little bit to finish as you like.
Ingredients
- 300 g lotus root
- 4,5 wing of a chicken Tebamoto:first segment of a chicken's wing
- 4 g ginger
Season for wing of a chicken
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1/2 tsp ginger juice grate ginger and press out the juice
condiment
- 300 cc chicken stock soup
- 2 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sake

Instructions
- peal lotus root with peeler. once cut lotus root in 1 bite size. put it in vinegar water for about 5 minutes. Vinegar is about 1% of water. be careful not to soak for more than 10 minutes.
- Mix soy sauce, sake and ginger juice and mix well with wing of a chicken.
- slice ginger thinly
- Warm oil in a frying pan and heat wing of a chicken with high heat until chicken surface gets colored on.
- Add ginger in frying and heat it with a low heat. Add lotus root with in frying and heat it with a low heat.
- Add chicken stock soup, sugar, soy sauce and sake, in frying and boil it for about 20 minutes with a low heat.
- dish up the food on a plate
