Beef and Gobo (burdock) Shigure-ni
Gobo(burdock) is fiber-rich food and common ingredient having fiber in Japan. Beef and Gobo are common combination and go well with rice.
Ingredients
- 200 g sliced beef
- 1 gobo (burdock)
- 8 g ginger
- 1 tbsp suger
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3/4 tbsp sake
- 3/4 tbsp mirin
- 120 ml water

Instructions
- Peel gobo’s skin with peeler.
- slice burdock thinly and soak the gobo in water about 10 mins.
- slice ginger thinly.
- cut sliced beef bite size pieces
- heat 1 tbsp of sesame oil in a pan and cook thinly-sliced ginger
- add sliced beef in a pan and cook until medium. then add sugar in a pan.
- add sliced gobo in a pan and cook until gobo is soft.
- add soy sauce, sake, mirin, water in a pan and boil until dry.
